Applying for a visitor VISA

Hey!
I m going to be applying for my mother's visitor VISA stating that she wants to come to Canada to drop me off. I will be on a student VISA. Do you suggest me applying online or paper based? Also, please shed some light on what things need to be taken care of.

1. I would not state the purpose of visit as *wanting to come to Canada to drop you off*.

2. Online/Paper: It's personal preference
