Hello,
I will be applying for citizenship soon. We are a family of 2 adults and a child. I am thinking of applying for myself alone by paper and applying for my wife and my child together by paper. Because I heard it is faster to apply separately. Also, I heard that paper is faster than online nowadays. Is this correct? . Please advice me

If you are going to apply as a family, what would delay your applications are breaking them up and sending them separately. IRCC is not going to wait for each application to come to them before processing them together; if they are submitted separately, then they will process them as such. If your application has information or documents that would support your spouse and/or child's applications, but you sent them separately, IRCC will not look for your application to support theirs; they would just reject them. If you applied together and there is an issue, they would at least give you the option of waiting to correct, or to proceed separately. So, if you're going to apply together as a family at the same time, it's best to submit everyone's application together as one package.

According to their website, if you're applying with a minor, you can only apply by paper at this time.

Thanks for the detailed answer. I am planning to apply separately, two separate applications. One for myself and another separate application for my wife and child. Each one of these two applications has its own separate supporting documents. No relation between the two applications. In this way, if , for example , my background takes long time it will not impact my wife application, so any delay for one adult will not delay the other adult application
