Applying for a closed work permit-How many years can i ask

Dear All,

My Open work permit (i did a 1 year PG program) will get over by Feb 2013.
My employer is ready to apply for a closed work permit for me.
How many year can i apply for ?(ie 1,2,3,4....?)

I plan to file PR through CEC.

Since by February i will gain 1 year of Cnadian work experience as a manager....

The maximum length of any work permit is three years. It is CIC's discretion on how long the work permit will be valid. Your employer should write an offer that indicates a term as well and CIC will take that into consideration when issuing the work permit.
