Hi there currently i am employed in a permanent full time position in ontario since Mar 15 2016. Now i got a new 6-months contract position. I will be completing my 1 year experience in canada on Mar 15 2017 but i have to join in the new company for 6 months contract starting Mar-1st 2017 so i am in short of 15 days to complete an year. Can i compensate this 15 days in the new company to finish an Year. I am in kind of confusion whether to take this contract or stay in the same company till i finish an year

Can somebody help me with this?

The new position is self employed?
Usually a contract position it's a contractor relation where you're self employed but working for some company
This it's not valid for CEC canadian experience

Anyways I would play it safe, staying at bit.more than a year with your current company, just in case.

If you'll be hired with a regular job employment relation and a NOC 0, A,B level it should be fine changing works

You should balance how important the new job could be, but it you can delay the new position starting date 15-30 days it could facilitate the process.

Most probably you'll be fine in the new position but if something goes wrong your contract can be cancelled during the probe period without warning and you could be short in days.

Remember to obtain a proper experience letter before leave the current company (later could be more complicated)

If both jobs are in a NOC 0, A or B or C you can use both to complete the year
