Hi, I'm from south korea and I'm not sure what's the best way to get the co-op work permit for the work practicum course in this situation.
I'll graduate at 2020 May, and my study permit expires on August 31.
The current visa processing time for co-op work permit is about 99 days, and my school starts on September 4th, so I have about 93 days.
Is it better to apply online first and then visit the border, or visit the border first and then apply online if it doesn't work out?
What i'm assuming is that if the visa came out too late, I'll have to push back my co op date to later term and the date i originally applied won't be applicable anymore, so I'll eventually have to withrawal the form i submitted and reapply with the new date.
To avoid the hassle, is it better to flagpolling first and see if it works out or not, or just apply online ASAP and consider flagpolling later because I might get the permit in time since I still have 93 days..?
Also, another option is take the courses without the coop project, and take it next summer although i might have to extend my study permit. But, would I be still considered as 'full-time' student and doesn't break the rull if I only take 1 coop course over the 2020 summer?
Thanks.
