Hi,
long time no see.
I am sorry if there is topic for this already. And if so, please move this there or point it out for me. Thanks.

I am in the point that i can apply citizenship, actually I could apply already, but i need to order VOS first.
At the same time, my husband got a job offer from California. Phew. Any advices? Should I just get the application together now and send it and then when/if we move to California, change my address? Is this possible or do i have to stay in Canada all times? My case should be very straight forward like my pr case was.
I want to apply the citizenship because we will be definitely coming back in some point and I want to retire here too.
Also do i need to take IELTS before sending the application?

Thank you for any advices! :p

1. No, you will need to maintain a Canadian mailing address, CIC won't response to addresses outside Canada.
2. Yes, unless you have proof of graduating from a school where the medium of instruction was in English and you can prove it.

Thank you so much!!!

I am wondering can i just put mailing address to my inlaws for example?
If its huge pain in the butt, i just won't apply it.
Will i lose my pr status while outside of country, my hubs is canadian citizen tho and out move would be cause of his job offer...

again, thanks

I would put your in laws mailing address as your address and still apply for the citizenship. Because your spouse is a Canadian citizen you can live outside of Canada and maintain your PR status. And you should be able to get your citizenship even if you live outside of Canada as long as you have resided in Canada 1095 days before your application in the last 4 years.
