Hi Guys....

This is my first post...and I am very 'inexperienced' about the immigration process....having said that....I spent the entire day going through the posts....we have here are very very experienced and intelligent folks ready to help....

Now to my query....

I had applied earlier for canada pr...in 2008....after the canadian govt, came with new rules i.e. they were coming out with a list of 18 NOC to be considered...in Feb 2008 I guess. I applied in 2008 before the list came out....unfortunately my occupation was not listed in teh 18 list.

Now for the new 29 NOC list....I fall in 1122, but this is different from the NOC (1112) i had applied earlier for. (by the way I received an email from the canadian authorities in Feb 2010, that my application is rejected and I will get the refund).....now if I apply again in 1122...will the authorities get suspicious that my profile has changed...though I am in the same company...I am not lying by telling them about 1122..but I do perform some of the 1122 responsibilites.

Please help...since I am very eager and want to apply as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance,
Inexperienced

Hi,

You have all rights to apply again and there is no reason that they will get suspicious as long as you are telling them the truth and you have performed atleast 70% of the job duties of that NOC. I would say you should apply again and people circumstances changes every year and last time your applied was in 2008, so if you think you have done the job duties of this new NOC then do apply.

Cheers

Hi saki,

Thank you so much for the reply. It is very encouraging and I will definitely apply again. A couple of more questions if you could help me again:

1) To prove the I belong the the 1122 NOC: DO I need to get a letter from my company or is there any other document proof. e.g. notarized document etc?
2) Stating on the new application about the old one and also stating that the PR visa was rejected because of the below stated reason, would that impact the chances of the new application being successful?

Thank you again for your help

Regards,

You will need to get all the required documents which you showed last time like employment letter and reference letter from the employer with all the duties listed and confirming that you have done these duties.

2) Stating on the new application about the old one and also stating that the PR visa was rejected because of the below stated reason, would that impact the chances of the new application being successful? See dont go to much in depth about your last application, in form where it says have you been refused visa before just say yes and short description of why you were rejected. Your new application will be treated as a new application under the new rules, they will definetly look at your old application but they wont be making a decision on the basis of your old application. All you need to do is to satisfy them that you do belong to this NOC.

Thank you again for your help

Hi Saki,
I noticed that you helped one of our friends. So I thought I should seek guidance from you too.
I am civil engineering graduate and want to apply for the immigration and the category I fall in is 7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades" which also says " Classified elsewhere •Construction Managers (0711)", so should I write 7215 or can i write 0711 as the category i am applying in? as 0711 seems much more appropriate to my degree but i have both the experiences.
Thank you
