Applying a work permit with LMIA at POE

Hi My name is moka and my boss applied LMIA for me at March 2024 and I am waiting for the positive LMIA.
I currently have a open work perit ( working-holiday visa ) and my visa is expiring in July.

I checked the proccesing time and it says it will take 90 business days for LMIA and another 90 days for a work permit （if I apply it on online).
But I will need to leave Canada around the end of this year so I would like to expedite the process.
I heard that if I apply the work permit at port of entry, I can get the work permit immediately.
But my conceren is that I will lose the maintained status if I can not get the work permit at port of entry since it deoends on an officer that I will be talking to at that time.

Has anyone applied a work permit with a positve LMIA under maintained status??

As for my understanding if you leave Canada you lose your status. And when applying at POE you are applying without any status as you are applying from Outside Canada (at the port of entry)
