Hi All,

I am planning to apply for Canada PR, currently I am in California with a valid H1B visa till 2014. From the websites I understand that I have more then enough points for applying for permanent residency. However I have some clarifications .

1. Are they accepting application through H1B program now ?

2. I have around 14 years of work exp in IT industry . What is the probability that they could accept/reject . certainly having enough points does not guarantee for getting the PR so I would require more insights since I also hear that they do not encourage people from IT industry.

3. Which is the best way to get PR is it through FSW or PNP ?

Please pardon me if these questions have been asked before ...

Have a Great Day !!

THANKS

1. The H1B program was only in Alberta and it ended a number of years ago.
2. If your occupation is not on the list for FSW http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#jobs you can't apply for FSW. You would need an approved Labour Market Opinion from a Canadian employer offering permanent employment once you become a PR.
3. Each province has it's own PNP so you can check them out here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp to see if you qualify for any.
