Apply PGWP on maintained status

I have seen many students suffering to know whether they can work or not if they had applied PGWP while on maintained status(waiting for study permit extension). I have the same case. I could not find how did they ended up. Anyone please let me know if I can work or not

Believe you have to get the study permit extension first before working. You only qualify to apply for PGWP with a valid study permit when you graduate. People should apply for study permit extensions at least 6 months before expiry.

I called IRCC they said we can work if we apply PGWP in such case I don't know they heard my condition wrong?

That's correct. You can work full-time after applying for PGWP.
