Apply online or at local office?

Hi all,

I am wondering are the processing times to apply usually faster if I submit my application online as opposed to via post? My local visa office would be Vienna, so I'd like to know which route to take for faster processing times, as my contracts will start on 23.8.2015 (LMIA exempt work permit). As it's quite urgent, even a couple of days could make all the difference...

Processing times are essentially the same because the applications will be processed by the same office. If you send you application by mail then you have to factor in delivery times.
