Dear All guys,

Please share your suggestion or advice to my situation. I need your help.

I applied visitor visa (visit my girlfriend) on early Feb through online, but still pending.
She provided an invitation letter and bank statement, She is PR.
I am learning in UK as student, not citizenship.

I provided my:
BRP, Student card, police registration, tuition fee receipt, tuition schedule, bank statement (3 months), proof of relationship.

The 2nd day after I submitted my online application, a request letter comes from London Visa Office, ask to provide:
"Client Information: Receipt of information from client Proof of current UK studies"

I feel weird as I've already provided them as above mentioned, but anyway I provided an updated class schedule on the same day and uploaded.
(I cannot come up any other documens to proof my studies in UK, it seems to me: BRP, Student card, police registration, tuition fee receipt, class schedule, are enough)

But until now, almost 30 days past, the case still no more correspondence. Still Pending, not rejected, not approved.

But my vacation will terminate and the new semester will start on the end of April.
I planned to spend 3 weeks with my girlfriend in Canada.

I've raised 2 CSE, one in 3 weeks ago, one in two weeks ago, but no response.

So may I ask:

Is it possible I withdraw this application and make a new one?
I don't scare of Rejection, once rejected, I would know the reason and try to apply again, but the "PENDING" status is really boring.

Or do you have other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

It doesn't make sense to withdraw the application and make a new one unless you no longer want to travel to Canada to visit your girlfriend. Yes - you can withdraw and make a new application. However if you do that, you should expect processing will take just as long. If you still want to travel before April, you should leave your current application alone and let CIC continue processing it. It's not at all unusual for processing to take this long.

Greeting, scylla,

Thanks for your reply.
The reason I feel boring is, all my classmates, 3 got their visitor visa in 4 days, 2 in 2 weeks. And from the IRCC website, it states it will usually take 5 business days.
And why I would like to withdraw and make another application is, I merely assume whether my application could be dispatched to another officer that give a result in less time, no matter reject or approve. Once I know the result, we (my girlfriend and I) could make the next plan.

It's really weird that my application got reviewed and request additional documents within 2 days but no more correspondence over 20 days after I submitted my documents. Does is intend a "rejection" usually?

It will be appreciated if you would share more opinion.

As you do not have ILR/citizen, it is possible that IRCC has sought additional information from your home country/another country where you had lived earlier. This could take time.

Processing times posted are only estimates. Some UK applicants have had decisions in one day, whereas many others waited 1-2.5 months for decisions (last year's posts).

Sending multiple CSEs will not help. You'll have to wait patiently (even if you're bored)

Hello Bryanna,

So it seems be patient is the best way to my application so far.
By the way, the 5 classmates I mentioned are not UK citizens, some of them and I are from same country. That's why I feel upset.
Anyway, thanks for your reply.
