My conjugal partner was able to enter Canada and he was given a TRP for a limited time - we are about to submit a application for an extension of this TRP as the sponsorship application (outland) is still in progress - 27 months now. Considering how long we have been waiting already I am wondering if we should apply for a work permit on the same TRP extension application? I dont want to do this if its going cause a delay or problem for us. I am thinking the worst they could do is say no to the work permit (but hopefully not no to both!). Has anyone had any experience with such a situation? Any comments / thoughts would be welcome.
