Apply for study visa in November for jan 2021 intake or defer it to may 2021 session

Hello, so I received my offer letter from Seneca for jan 2021 intake but the VFS in my country (Bangladesh) is closed so can’t submit biometric and no update as to when it’s opening. I haven’t applied for the visa yet because of how everyone’s application is being delayed or rejected. Should I defer my session to may hoping for vfs to open and situation to settle down or just apply now for jan 2021? Would appreciate any suggestions on this!

I think applying early is crucial. Planning things and acting early is really necessary since everything's taking too much time these days. So, I highly suggest you to apply now. Even you can't start your studies in winter due to processing times, then you can decide to defer it and let ircc know you did by providing them your new LOA.
