Apply for study permit(student) on restoration period out of status ?

I heard some where that you can only apply/eligible for visitor visa only once you are out of status and on restoration period(90 days) is this true ?

can a post grad work permit holder can apply/eligible for student permit on restoration period ? if not then what other options he has/eligible on restoration period other then visistor visa ? please advise Thanks

Try reading the IRCC website instead of "hearing things somewhere".

Don't let your status expire. You can apply before that to change your status to student if you qualify or to visitor.
