Hello Everyone,
Am I correct in assuming I can apply at a point of entry (airport or land border) for my work permit as a postdoc? I'm a US citizen, and postdocs don't require an LMO (or CAQ in my case). I'm due to start in November. I just want to make sure that this is possible, because the Consulate in New York is taking about 4 months to process applications, so if I showed up in November at the border and got a refusal, I wouldn't be able to work until March 2015, and would certainly have my offer rescinded!
Additional point: I'm thinking of visiting a different province (New Brunswick) in July. Is this a good/bad idea with respect to getting a work permit? I don't want to jeopardize the permit application.
Thanks!
Eric
