Apply for New PR Card

Hello all,

My (sponsor) husband (PA) landed last week in Winnipeg and successfully completed his landing and has his signed COPR. However, when in immigration we asked about the PR card and the agent said it would just be mailed to the address on file. The address on file is not in Canada so my understanding is that it will, in fact, NOT ship here. They never gave us a chance to provide a Canadian address for the PR card. Now when I try to submit the address online, the webform cannot find my husband's application.

Honestly not sure what to do, but we really need the PR card. Can anyone provide any insight? Or has anyone been in similar shoes lately? Really thought that by now we'd be done with all the immigration confusion ='(

Go back to the border and ask the officer or his supervisor.

Options:
-Call IRCC, long waits, but once you get through, should work.
-try webform, although don't know how to link with an app that's probably been 'closed.'
-try your MP's office for assistance, really you just need to submit address, they should be able to help.
-go back to airportas suggested here.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately it was a soft landing and so we are currently back in Florida and definitely not planning a trip back to winnipeg (moving to Calgary, that was just where we had a layover).
is IRCC now able to be called from outside Canada? I know before you couldn’t call them from outside the country

They probably refused to do the PR card / update address because they knew it was a soft landing.

So while you can try, there is a high likelihood now that the answer will be 'apply for a PR card when you return to and settle in Canada.'

You are correct; the PR Card will not be mailed to an address outside of Canada.

PRTD is your best option or drive through the land border with your proof of landing.
