Dear sir/madam,
I am from Bangladesh (Asia)
I want to take admission in grade 1 in a public school in Toronto for my only son who is 5 years old as a minor student visa.
Presently he has not study permit.
I and my family now home country.
1. What are the procedure and requirements for getting the study permit?
2. What are the eligibility for the parents for travelling along with the applicant?
3. What will be the visa status of the parents?
4. Is there any option to apply for getting the study permit for me as well along with my son as a student?
5. Please note that I have completed my graduation on 2003 and there is 17 years break of study. My birth year is 1982 as on passport.
6. Back 2018 I have visited canada. My visit visa will expire on may 2021.
Please advise

1. You need to find a school that is willing to accept your son and also find someone who is willing to act as his guardian in Canada (i.e. who your son will live with in Canada and who will take care of him). You will then need to apply for a study permit showing a bank balance of at least $25,000 ($15,000 to cover 1 year of tuition and the rest to cover living expenses for 1 year).
2. There is no accompanying visa for parents.
3. None - see above.
4. You need to apply for a study permit independently if you wish to study in Canada.
5. & 6. Not sure what questions you are asking here.

1. Your son applies for a study permit after you receive approval and pay fees for the Canadian school. You need a Canadian guardian and there are forms to fill out. The guardian is responsible for your child and it is mandatory to have a Canadian guardian. The intention is for you to send him to school in Canada while you stay in Bangladesh. Having a son in a Canadian school gives you no benefit.
2/3. You can try for a visitor visa but it doesn’t allow you to stay while your son is in school. Your son would stay with the guardian. You can’t work or study.
4/5. If you want to study, then you need to apply to colleges or universities and then apply for a permit.
6. You will need a new visa.
