For my specific case, I am a full-time student. My wife came here as a visitor (haven't applied for an open work permit yet). Now, she gets a job offer with LMIA exemption. It's a postdoctoral position at a university. My concern is that can she apply for an independent employer-specific work permit inside Canada?
