Hi
I had applied a sponsor PR and it was delivered to processing center last September and I did not receive any AOR or other information. My husband was getting sick(he lost about 30 lbs due to this sickness) and he had scheduled an operation about Feb 10th. Due to COVID-19, this operation will be rescheduled to April. I am outland now. I had USA H- visa(working visa) and no criminal records. But I am in HongKong now.
Can I get a temp visitor visa to visit him? I heard that once I had applied a PR, it is difficult to get a temp visa unless I had received the AOR or the PR is going to be approved? I did not receive AOR and it is already 205 days past....
I also knew that we could call them and get a temp file number. I had called them and we had this temp file number. I had paid to a lawyer(in Toronto) to consult, she just said I should just apply and explain everything. She also said there is a great chance to be rejected. She suggested we could hire some nurse to take care of my husband instead of myself. I did not receive any useful information from her. She charged me about $500 Canada dollars.
I had submitted the temp visa in Feb 3rd and then I submitted the BIO info at Feb 9th. I had including everything, explanation letters and operation schedule time tables, money we had(we had enough money to support us for at least 1 or 2 years if we can not work), etc.. No news so far....When I log into my account, the statue is always in processing. I had submitted web requested and 2 emails to Visa office in HongKong for the past 6 weeks. No replies no news. Nothing at all.
Do I had a great chance to be rejected? How long shall we wait ? The lawyer I had paid to consult told me that 2 of her client got rejection after 8 months in 2020 and 2021.
I need your guys suggestions. If I had a rejection, shall I apply temp visa again or I should stay at HongKong and wait until my PR approved ? The lawyer said due to Covid-19, my final decision maybe made at sometimes in 2022. It is quite a long time. Because we still do not have any AOR which means my documents are not open.
We had the ideas that we should take my husband to HongKong but the lawyer told us: because he is a PR not a citizen, once he leaves Canada more than 2 weeks(we think we need 2 months for the operation and healthcare), he can not sponsor me. I should withdraw my PR application first then he comes back and we resubmit this PR application in future. Is that true?
I am always worried about my husband and we can not sleep everyday.
Thanks a lot and god bless all of us
