Dear friends,
I am applying to school in Canada for the winter intake program 2022 and seeking information about applying for a study permit.
My background: I am a Chinese national who is living in Bangkok atm, under unemployment status due to Covid. I am planning to fly back to China around the end of September this year.
My question:
1. Is it confirmed that we can not apply for a study permit via SDS while we live in a third country which is not on the SDS country list? I mean, it is an online application, do they really "care" where I am when I submit the documents?
2. Both for SDS and regular study permit: Can I submit the documents while I am still in Bangkok, and fly back to China after, while waiting for feedbacks? Or better to stay in Thailand during the whole application period or only apply for the study permit once I land in China?
Thank you very much!
