Apply before 12 month work anniversary

Hi All,

New to this. I have a question, My work anniversary is Jan 27 which will be my one year in Canada which will give me enough points. However my work permit expires end of March 2016. I was wondering if I can enter the pool on Jan 1 since it only asks for months on the profile application. With hopes that it is in there earlier.

However if/when I get picked will I be penalized for the date of entering the pool is before Jan 27. Because I know the supporting document must state the date I started.

You can enter the pool before your one year is technically complete, but if you receive an ITA before Jan 27, you would have to decline it. If you receive an ITA after Jan 27, that is fine, you won't be penalized anywhere.
