Hello Everyone

My sister is a permanent resident in Canada and I would like to apply for a visit visa to meet her. So I followed the steps here
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa.html#existing

only to realize that step 2 and 3 and actually part of step 1. I should have read all the steps before applying but I didnt. This means I :

1) I didn't select "other" as the reason of travel and put "COVID-19" as description
2) I didn't attach "Application for Authorization and Statutory declaration IMM0006" in my application.

What do you guys recommend I do now?

a) Shall I request to cancel my application and start a new one ? I applied recently so I am not really losing time
b) Shall I resubmit my amended application and "application for authorization" via the web form? (not even sure if I can send files from there)
c) Shall I just wait for IRCC's response and then provide them additional documents?

Appreciate any guidance on my situation as I am not sure what is the best approach to this problem

The 2 things you missed are the 2 most important things for applying for a TRV as an extended family member of a Canadian citizen or PR.

As it stands, your application is going to be treated as a generic tourist visa application and no priority will be given to it.

You have an option to email the IRCC Covid travel exemption account and telll them about this
OR
Raise a webform and submit these new documents.

Both these above options have no guarantee that someone will actually acknowledge and amend your application. Definitely not on a priority basis.
Your best bet is to withdraw the current application and make a new one.

Thank you Sarvesh

I think I will withdraw and start "fresh" but doesn't withdrawal take many months to process? You think I can apply new one while withdrawal is in progress?

Thanks

Yes I think you can do both simultaneously.
