I hope someone can help me, I'm reaching a point where I am about to give up.
I have been on a Post Graduation Work Permit from March 2014, but it will expire March 2015.
I have been unemployed from Jan 2014 to Oct 2014 until I found an amazing one-of-a-kind job with extremely good benefits.
I have been with that job from Oct 2014 until now so I am days away from leaving the probation period.
I am from Syria and cannot go back there for fear of persecution and death.
I have no other nationality of citizenship.
I have applied to the Opportunities Ontario Provincial Nominee Program twice because I was rejected the first time. I am currently waiting for the decision which they said won`t come out before February 1st.
My temporary resident visa is also expiring end of March.
I need to extend my work permit and here are the options I can think of:
1) Get an LMO but I have no time even if they agree to do it.
2) Get the PNP certificate soon hopefully then apply to CIC, but CIC will take about 5 weeks to reply with an acknowledgment of receipt of application so I have no time to apply for a Bridging open work permit.
3) Leave the country and wait for the certificate to come, but lose my job.
4) Apply for refugee status maybe
