Hello,
I applied for my PCC. In the application I entered my in-laws address. I got married last year but came to Canada immediately so I didn’t get a chance to change the address in my passport or adhaar.
Now I applied for PCC through BLS and they accepted my marriage certificate and put down my spouse’s address there for verifying my file too.
But when the police came there to verify our addresses, they said they can’t verify mine because I don’t have any other proofs in that address. Although my in-laws were there to vouch for me, the police mentioned something like “her case is in a different jurisdiction so she should have submitted the older address”.
But there’s no one residing at my older address who can help me out! there’s no relative in that city for that matter- they all moved out. I moved to Canada 3+ years ago so I have no other addresses in India with proof.
The police said they’ll submit my file but it’s unlikely to be accepted by the embassy for this reason. Is there something I can do on my end before it gets rejected? (Because I’m short on time given we got our ITA).
Please help!
