Applied online for SPP & now CIC requested for my passport, so did i got it or ?

Hi,

I applied for Student visa on 10th and now CIC has requested for my original passport, so what does it mean, did i got the visa?

Do they ask for passports in the case of rejections too?

Congratulations your visa is approved
They dont require original passport if they want to reject the application.

me too applied on 10 july... still waiting 4 d decision ???...want to ask u one thing...did u receive any mail from CHC regarding medical clearance???

Check your account for that, they will change the status to 'approved' ones they approve your medical, they won't email you.

actually i applied through an agent...n MYCIC account's password is wd them..!! Last time i got mail on personal email id frm CIC on 10th itself after that there is no any sort of updation ...cant figure out y there is so much delay!!!

ye, there are delays, other who applied with me, none got any update.

Ask your agent for the logins, even my agent didn't checked for the updates, i got the request on 29th and i checked it on 31th. so you should check your status twice a day.

Congratulations your visa is approved
They dont require original passport if they want to reject the application.

Though i tried to check few post here, there are many post by the users who said they got the passport request, but none of them updated if they actually got the visa or not.

That is a stupid thing your agent is telling you, actually agents do that, cause they want us to be dependent on them, why would it do any harm, CIC communicates with you via messages, and they would want you to regularly check your account so that whenever they send you a message, you should quickly respond to that. so ask for logins and check you account regularly, cause agents don't check account regularly.
