Applied online, CIC requested me to send them my passport. Visa approved?

Hi guys.

I am a Brazilian citizen, currently living in New Zealand. I applied for Visitor Visa online on 20 may, got a message from CIC today (05/06) requesting me to submit my passport. I have submitted it today at a VAC which will be sent to Canada immigration in Sydney. I was wondering whether it means my visa is approved? Please, someone share your opinion.

YES..passport request means approval.

otherwise if denied you will receive a correspondence letter in your CIC explaining the reason for denial...
