Applied New Canada Work Permit at the Port of Entry in Canada Border (flagpole)

Hi,
Did someone tried to apply for Canada new work permit at the White Rock, Surrey Canada Border Services office? They call it flagpole. Please share your experience since my employer is asking me to do it because they need someone who should be trained as soon as possible and couldn't wait for the processing time.

I am on a student visa, no work permit but I have valid job offer and a pending Federal Skilled Worker application (PER received).

Unless you have an approved LMO you won't get a work permit.

Yes - you still need an LMO.
