Hello everyone,
I am not sure if this is a normal situation. But I have applied in November 2014 and until now my application is showing online as "Received". I noticed that people applied in October 2014 ,g ot their application as "In process" around January 2015. Am I missing something?

Here is what is showing online:

1- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 24, 2014.

2- We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 10, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Thank you

Please be patient. Sometimes it takes some time for the application processing to get started. Also, sometimes e-cas does not update.
Did you get in touch with call centre at 1-888-242-2100? If not, please contact them to see what is the current status of your application.

Also, did you try to use your client id which is in 8 digit numeric format printed on front of pr card (xxxx-xxxx)?
If not, what other method have you tried to access e-cas?

Yes, I am using the client ID number. I tried using the application number but it did not work. The system says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

Thank you

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
When did your ecas got activated (showing Received) ?
If I were you I would wait until after 120 days (4 months) since the day "Received" appeared in my eCAS. And then on Day 121 I would call CIC to check with them if I still don't see "In Process".
It very rarely take more than 120 days to go from one step to the next.

If the e-cas did not update then in that case, call centre can provide you with more information.

I have called the CIC today and they said that It can take up to 24 month to process my application :(
I am not sure, but I have seen people in the forum says that it took them 7 month when they applied in 2014.

Is there anyone in applied in or after November 2014 here? Does your application show online "Received" or "In Process"?

Thank you
