Applied in July 2014, only background checking is in process

Hi everyone,

I submit my application July 08, 2014 and got File number Aug 28, 2014. However, after that I did not get any information from cic. And what's more wired is only the background checking is in process and anything else have not been started yet. Did anyone know what is going on?
