Applied for Visitor Visa from the US

It has been 3 weeks and 3 days since I’ve sent my application. I’ve had no messages in my cic account since the confirmation that they received my application.

I applied September 30th and got a confirmation October 1st.

It’s now October 24th, so now it has exceeded the normal processing times.

I need to be at a wedding on November 15th.

What can I do? Do I still have enough time to be approved and for my passport to get back to me on time? I’m so nervous.

The processing times posted on the CIC site are just estimates. Actual processing can take anywhere from a few days to several months. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do but wait. Yes - it's certainly possible you'll still be approved in time.

Pls I applied for a Canadian TRV from Nige ria and to attend a public health Research conference and I was denied, their reasons are travel history, and employment status, Funny enough, I've been working in a particular office since 2015 till date, I was in Canada between 10/09 to 24/09 2016; I have a valid b1b2 USA visa that will expire Oct 2018, now I'm planning to travel to USA for 60 day, vacation from January 8 to March 8. ( leave of absence) can I apply for Canada visa from USA since I have a registered up coming public health conference in Canada April,

I applied on 9/27 and received passport request on 10/11. I submitted my passport the same day at VAC LA in person. The agent at the VAC told me that it will take 7-10 business days until i can pick up my passport but i haven't heard anything from them yet. I came back at the VAC and asked him, then he told me that it might take a couples more days because it's almost thanksgiving. I checked my tracking number online and it said that passport received by visa office- under consideration or something, on the csc-cvac website they said that it takes them 10-15 business days to stamp your visa (this is additional to the processing time) so I'll just wait. I also called them but they just told me to wait anyway and there is nothing they can do for you but check for your tracking number. I personally think that you might not be able to go to the wedding cause It takes them so long just to stamp your visa.
