Applied for PR in Aug 2008 at Buffalo

Hi,

I have applied for my PR in Aug 2008 from Buffalo. I had submitted my fees in an Bankers Cheque valid till October 20th 2008. I have not recieved any information regarding my application. How do I come to know the status of my application. Also pls let me know the process that follows.

you've applied after Feb 27, 2008 and that means you'll be treated under
the new rules that will be posted soon (Hope you meet the criteria!)
To know what is really going on with your application, i guess you have to
check with your bank and see if there's withdrawal and then if necessary
call cic.
For the process that follows, again we have to wait till the new rule comes out
and then it will be easier to know what to do because like other seniors members in
in this forum said once the 38 fields will be posted, it'll be clear whether we're qualified
or not and what next to do.

I applied in Mar 2009 at Buffalo under Federal skill worker from within Canada (on post grad. work permit), within a month I got the acknowledgment letter, but after that they contacted me after 11 month requiring some more documents.
Have you got any updates from them? Do you mind sharing the timeline?

I think Aug 2008 is too late not to even get an AOR. You should contact CIC buffalo and enquire. I applied nov 2008 and just got my Visa, they transferred our case to NY and it has moved since then.

Regardless you should reach out to them maybe they sent you reminders for further documentation or acknowledgement which was never received?
