Applied for PR awaiting result, Need to travel backhome

I am living in Canada, I have applied for my permanent residency application but due to some personal reasons, I have to travel back to my home country.
I know ideally I should not but out of the need of the hour, I have to travel.
Can I apply for a Travel document from my home country?

Okay ,that depends on if you have a valid visa or not . And you can travel outside the country while waiting for result of that pr application ,but you will not to be allowed back in if you didn't have a valid visa of any type . And you can either apply within Canada or in your home country,just make sure you explain your situation in the letter of explanation .
