Applied for Federal Skilled Worker: Currently working in Canada

Hi,
I am currently staying in the United States in H1B Visa. I have applied for Canadian PR through Federal Skilled Worker Program in September 2009 at the Buffalo office.
In October 2009, my company in US sent me to Calgary,Canada for a client work.I obtained my TRV and Work Permit which is valid for more than a year. I am visitng Calgary every week from Mon -Thursday and returning back to US on weekends.
I am still an employee of my company's US entity ( as my payroll is operated out of US).

My question would be :
1.How can I expedite the process of getting the Canadian PR based on the fact that I am currently working in Canada ?
2.Can I get the benefit of ALberta Nomination program?
3.Should I apply for a Canadian Social Insurance Number ? Would it help in any way ?

1. Since you are now on a work permit in Canada, that could be considered as good as a job offer. I am not sure it would speed up your application but if you get a letter from your employer offering you to continue to employ you after you get PR and you send that as well as a copy of your work permit to be added to your file, it might speed you up a bit.

2. Your employer can sponsor you under AINP but I do not think that is faster than FSW. If you want to apply for nomination through AINP, you can ask your employer if they will do it and once your nomination comes through, AINP will contact the country where your file is being processed and ask them to look at your FSW application as a PNP application.

3. I think if you are working in Canada on a work permit, you need to have a SIN to get paid unless you are working in Canada and your employer is somehow paying you in the US. As a temporary worker, you will get a temporary SIN which starts with a 9. Once you get PR, you will have to apply for a permanent SIN. You can also apply for Alberta health.

One more thing, you should make notes of your comings and goings to Canada right now because later on it can help you apply for citizenship sooner if you are interested. Every day you spend in Canada now counts as half a day towards the citizenship requirement of 3 years.
