I just checked to see if our address has returned on ecas it's not and our status has changed to in process,any ideas.

Congrats on your MR, etc. Just wondering if there was a deadline for you to submit the requested documents/MR/fees considering the number of days it took the mail to arrive? And did you go in process before now, and when?

I have only 60 days to 'proceed' (term used in their letter) for Medical. I am not able to complete it before the deadline since my sposue lives in another country. I will request for an extension citing the mail dlivery was delayed for 22 days (eventhough my mail does not contain any satmp for delivery date)

I am doing my medicals day after tomorrow and I will send RPRF ASAP

I went in process on June 15 and my ECAS showed it on June 20. My date for MR is actually June 29 in the Request letter.

Is that is sufficiennt info for you? if not please ask me, I will provide you.

Wayne congratulations to you and your wife on receiving your visa. dr Hasib congrats and congrats to all who received good news,I've been away on holiday for a week and it looks like the forum has been very busy. Won't get time to catch up with all the pages until the end of next week as very busy at the moment. I did check ecas and it's now in process , how long does it normally stay in that . I'm hoping it's good news .

Dear All,

My brother applied under NOC 3112 skilled worker category in November 2010. I used my Credit card to pay for his, his spouse and 2 kids application fee of $1400. My card was charged on 29th November 2010. my brother got a job in another country and was very busy with life in new country. Also, I was also busy with life in Canada. My brother got an email on 14th of July, saying that the assessment was done and the CIC Nova Scotia is refusing his application. my brother was awarded 63 points and it was mentioned that they are NOT giving him any points for Relative in Canada. The letter says

''No points were assigned for Relative in Canada as insufficient proof was submitted that ........... is your relative or that he is in Canada''.

I submitted my copy of My Permanent resident card, My landing Paper,My passport, my 3 months bank statements, my credit card statement, and also I was his representative, submitted the representative form mentioning I am his brother. Also my brother had to submit an official document from the government showing the family tree of our family.
I am really surprised. its was a dream for all of us and now it has been shattered with no fault of us....
Can any one please help me as to what can be done to correct this error? if they refuse the visa, they should have returned the 1400 dollars they deducted, but they have not done that. I am not worried about them, but would like to go to anywhere to correct this error......

I received a letter on July 21st in my address in Ottawa, Canada which was posted from Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada on 30th June 2011.

Buffalo VO uses Post Box address in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada to send communications by mail to all IN CANADA applicants. I have used this mail address to renew my visa several times before and BUFFALO VO has inclued this address in their mailing address.

Let me tell you what is the mail that I received after 22 days that is send from same province in Canada.

Mail from Buffalo goes like this.... We have now completed the initial assessment and expect to finalize your application without a pertsonal interview


The letter contains MEDICAL REQUEST FOR ME AND MY SPOUSE and REQUEST FOR RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE

Glad to share with you all my happy news.

Friends , Need your advise, My full name is reflected under the "Given Name" section in my passport & I dont have a Surname but in the COPR my name is given under the surname and the given name section is blank , the same is the case with my son. Does anyone have a similar case ? , would this cause any issue in getting the PR card after landing in Canada ?

Please let me know your thoughts regarding this
