Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

We submitted our application on 23rd August 2010, and we booked IELTS test in mid July, and fairly sure at that point that it stated the test must be General Training IELTS. So if Academic tests were ever allowed it would have been in the first 2 weeks of July only, I think?

I only submitted in Nov 2010 but had been preparing for over a year (while waiting for AEO) and I never have read anything else than the IELTS had to be GT, not Academic. So even pre-26 June 2010, IELTS (IF you submitted it), had to be GT.
I understand the frustration about this since it's true, Academic is harder than GT. However, the standard for awarding points has been set against GT, so I guess to avoid law suits later because people have been measured against a more difficult test than others, they are pretty strict.
A pitty it creates so much confusion. I also took the French TEF test and there is only one kind, although you also have mandatory and optional parts and here the confusion might be that you have to take the optional tests as well, for which you have to pay seperately.
Nobody ever said it was easy....

HI when one receives the PER does that mean that all the background checks have been made already? What does the PER really contain? I have no idea what to expect... I filed mine end of september and my VO is also in Manila... Havent got an update yet... Please enlighten me...

hey, have you tried inquiring about the status of your bank draft with your bank? I guess it will help in one way or another..

That means the VO will re-do the eligibility review from scratch, regardless of CIO decision. It's not mentioned in any CIC document that the VO will escape the eligibility review if done by CIO!

The real processing and waiting time will start with VO processing, all people that are waiting for the PER are still bellow ground zero.

Visa office will not do the eligibility review. This correspondence is a mistake and several people have received similar errors, only to be re-notified by visa office that this is an error and that their file is being transported to visa office.

Although the visa office errors are concerning, they do rectify themselves once queried.

thanks for the sympathy everyone..what's even more annoying is that i actually told my consultant we should consider the requirement about the IELTS. We've learned about the change in the ielts requirement after we sent the complete application all right, but if they could have listened to me and didn't assure me that my Academic IELTS will do fine, then i should have taken the General IELTS even right after we sent the application last August....

Anyways, these is me whining about the situation. Don't really have much of a choice now..Will schedule to sit the test on Feb. Pray for me guys..

i believe we're on the same track.. still waiting for the PER ( positive eligibility review).. have you inquired with your bank about the status of your BD if ti has been encashed already?

i used my credit card and it was charged a week after they received the application, sept 30. i hope we'll get our PERs soon. so far there, i have read only two with Manila VO that received a PER and an NER...

Dear hariranjith,

This part is quite confusing.

Just do as following;whoever is filling out the form should be the applicant and his/her partner should be the spouse.This is regardless of who the main applicant is. I hope this is now clear enough.

Hi I just sent a case-specific email notifying London CHC of my change of employer name. Hopefully I wrote it in an informative way but not one where they need to reply to me if they don't want to. The splash screen after you send the web form says they may not reply.

Please note that his duties have not changed in any way and that he is sat at the same desk doing the same job, so the change is in company name only.

Please note that he is the spouse, and not the principal applicant, in this application. Please also note that ********** who provided my husband's reference is still available on the same telephone number but her email address is now ************, should she need to be contacted for employment verification purposes.

On 15th December 2010 we received confirmation from the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney that our application had received a positive final eligibility review and that our application with all supporting documents had been sent to London CHC. I am unsure if our paper file has yet reached you.
