Apparently this doesn't seem to work in India. We tried this, but they confirmed they will only send it to IELTS recognizing institutions and immigration authorities, not to any employers.

I have another thought over IELTS's refusal to send copy results to candidates.

If the actual results database is held in the UK (fairly sure it is for all candidates since their main HQ is in Cambridge in England) then those results are subject to the Data Protection Act (1998). This act states that any personal data held about you on a computer system must be disclosed on request. I think they are allowed to charge an admin fee up to a certain maximum value, but they're not allowed to refuse to give you the data in writing if you request it.

If IELTS are refusing to provide copy results, IMO they may well be in breach of UK law. Therefore if anyone has any trouble obtaining copy results, certainly the words "Data Protection Act" may be worth mentioning

I helped a friend of mine to put together his documents. He finally sent it on the 30th September to CIO, They have sent his 1st AOR on the 7th of December.

So the CIO office does not operate on 1st come 1st serve as they say. It all depends on your file. This is because i know people who have been waiting since June and July.

I was so surprise when he got it and at the same time i was happy for him, since i was t he one helping him.

Hi. If this is a genuine AOR then this is news indeed. However, did you mean 7th November? Today is the 9th November so we will not reach 7th December for another month or so!!

Are you able to get your friend to give us the details of what was included in the AOR? Was this by email or fax? Also what was his/her NOC code?

Hmm well owing to 7th December being in the future and 7th November being a Sunday I am reserving judgement until I see a little more evidence!

It would be very nice to think that some AORs will be forthcoming in November, though.

Hmm, that's not how I read it. When he mentioned people waiting since June and July it definitely looked like he was talking about 2010.

Ah well. If it's genuine then we should expect some other AORs to start surfacing soon, but I am treating this somewhat sceptically until we see a few more!

Sorry November 7. Yes he had picked it up and he just informed me. Sorry it is a typing mistake.
