Application withdrawn. Please, explain.

Please, help me with this issue, as it looks like Canadian embassy will not answer asap.

I got acceptance from University in Canada and before going to study decided to visit Canada. So I applied to tourist visa and included my acceptance letter to show that I was accepted and this is the reson why I am going. I also provided them with explanation that I am not going to study, but rather visit:
"To look at the university, discuss program opportunities, see Canada and get myself familiar with Toronto, before accepting offer, I travel to Canada"

3 days after I applied I got message from CIC:
Your application has now been withdrawn as you applied in a wrong category.

What can be the possible issue? What should I do? I want to take relatives with me, so they also need to get tourist visa, right?

By the way, what is the earlist time I can come to Canada on student visa?

It sounds like you confused the visa officer by including the university acceptance letter. By now, I'm sure your application is on its way back to you unprocessed. So I think the only thing you can really do at this point is wait for it to arrive and then resubmit with a clearer explanation of the purpose of your trip.

Yes - your relatives would need visitor visas as well if they are non visa exempt.

Generally it's OK to arrive a month before your classes are scheduled to begin using a study permit. If you arrive sooner, visa officers sometime suspect you are coming early to work illegally and there have been situation where students have been turned away at the border, sent home and told to come closer to the start of classes.

FYI the explanation you provided below isn't very clear or easy to understand: "To look at the university, discuss program opportunities, see Canada and get myself familiar with Toronto, before accepting offer, I travel to Canada"

I'm guessing this is what must have confused the visa officer. When you resubmit your application, you should consider having someone with a stronger command of english review your letter / explanation.

Canadian Embassy won't answer ASAP. They can't answer all the people on case to case basis.

Read what you wrote. It says "I included my acceptance letter to show that I was accepted and this is the reason why I am going". That means you are coming to Canada to study. No interpretations needed, you wrote it down. Then you say: "To look at the university, discuss program opportunities, see Canada and get myself familiar with Toronto, before accepting offer, I travel to Canada". Which basically contradicts the first statment you wrote.

The VISA officer was nice to you, he could have just refused the travel VISA on "not clear purpose of visit"....

Thank you. I think I will rewite my itinerary and re-apply. I was sure that did it quite clear, but third opinions, are very useful.

Is it a good idea to include letter of admission? I need to include some document in the application, but at this moment, I have no flight tickets, no hotel reservation as unclear about dates.

The fact that you are not clear enough in a forum when asking for help is a clear sign that you might not have been as clear as you thought in your application.

Common sense Alex1717, would it help to support your argument? You shouldn't submit papers just because you need to submit papers, you should submit papers because they will make a strong argument on why you are trying to get into Canada. Think of it throughly, an acceptance letter meant only for studying in that university will be a valid reason to try to visit Canada? Does this make sense? The immigration officer doesn't have time to see your case and think in good faith of all possibilities, you have to make your reasons obvious and clear. If a document might cause noise, then it will. Choose your papers wisely.
