I see an update for my current status but there is no message neither is there any additional document request.

What is the possible reason

have you already moved to IP2? lots of July and June AOR received such updates, many of them moved to IP2. I had a similar update 3 days ago, moved to IP2 and then another ghost update yesterday but everything is same.

I m 13 aug 18 AOR. Not sure whether I m in IP1 or IP2 but my gcms notes dated 20 sept confirmed that I passed R10 and eligibility. Criminality was in progress and security not started.
Background check msg indicates that it’s in progress and doesn’t say it will change once it’s started.

So I guess u can deduce your own conclusion in which stage I m. I tbh don’t know

In the past such ghost update was followed by a PPR mail within a few hours to one week. But as someone posted above a lot of June / July got such update about 2-3 weeks back but no sign of PPR. Many of those cases I know are now in Sydney, NS. If your visa office is Ottawa then May be you will get your PPR soon.
