Application to Sponsor- IMM1344 Question

On the top of pages 2-7 there is a box that asks for applicants name and DOB.

Is the applicant the person applying to sponsor or the person applying to BE sponsored?

I am a Canadian Citizen and will be sponsoring my husband and child on this application. I presumed that this box was for myself (as it doesn't leave room for more than one person), but then I thought person it was for the "principal application" (which would be my husband and not our child.

The Guide 3900 on the CIC website doesn't explain this.

This form is to apply to be a sponsor. The only place where you name the person to be sponsored is Part 1 (boxes 4 and 5). The rest of the information is about the sponsor.
