Application submitted (two weeks before ITA expiry) and profile expired now

I got ITA on July 17th and submitted the completed application along with payment on Aug 28th. I haven't got the AOR/R10 yet. Around Sep 16th, I got a mail stating that my EE profile has expired since I didn't submit the application or reject the ITA. myCIC shows two entries under "View my submitted applications or profiles". One is about EE profile (created: April 17th) indicating that profile expired. Other is about PR stating that status is "Submitted". Both entries have same EE application number. Confused and worried. Is anyone else facing similar issue?

Profile created: April 17th 2015
ITA received: July 17th 2015
Application submitted: Aug 28th 2015
Profile expired notification: Sep 16th 2015.

Any information or suggestion will be helpful.

I am facing the same situation. I raised a CSE from the link below.

When I raised the CSE, I got a reply that cic is looking into the issue. I am waiting with my fingers crossed.
