Application status still in progress

Hi All,

I have submitted the application for permanent residency on September 16th, 2018. When I log in to the CIC website, it says completion date was March 16th but final status is still in progress. Also, there is a note on the website that some application takes more time.

How do I know the current status of my application and why my application is pending. How long it will take to complete. I posted this query on the CIC web forum, but there is no response.

Is there any CIC customer care number where I can reach out to know my application status?

I live in the USA and my application is being processed inside Canada.

I would highly suggest you order GCMS notes. You might be in review required for eligibility or in security screening. If something is wrong with the submitted application, you will hopefully have time to correct it.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I searched on this forum about the GCMS notes and found that only Canadian citizen can order the GCMS. I am not a Canadian citizen, please let me know how can I order GCMS notes in this case.

You do not have to be a Canadian citizen to order them. You can authorize an outside company like GCMS buddy to order them in your name.
