My wife has received book for citizenship. Her online status is showing received.

So what is the next thing that she needs to do?

How much further time it should take to get the citizenship?

Count 2-3 years until she gets the citizenship...

this is if she receive RQ but if not it will be less time

I didn't receive any RQ and CIC has just started processing my application after 18 months of waiting... So counting 2-3 is (unfotunately) a realistic estimate.
Unless they finish my application within 6 months it will take more than 2 years in total.

What is RQ? she applied on 5th August 2012, so what is the possible time of processing now.

to start the processing it will take about 6 - 9 months after applying. then they will send it to your CIC local office.

The RQ (residency questionnaire) some people take it and they need to fill it up and provide a lot of documents to proof that they have been completed the 1095 days in Canada.

the timeline is different from province to another or even from City to another. so where are you living now. with City and province ?
