I have received an email from Mr. Ralph Goodale.

Below is the email response

Dear Shahil, I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Aug 16, 2018. It is at the Case Processing Center in Ottawa.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.



Eligibility is in process – review required.

Criminality and security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until June and July 2019.

Can someone tell what this means “Eligibility is in process – review required.”

It simply means they are reviewing your application. Not sure why you got your MP involved given you've only been waiting a few short months.

Hi scylla, does this mean that the application is going through the normal process and it is not stuck at any stage? My AOR is 25th July, 2018 and I had a very similar response. I have ordered GCMS just in case. Please share your thoughts.
