From my status update above, one thing is quite puzzling me. They say they sent this book on 7/March/2013 but I haven't received till date. That's like what 2 months delay? I mean, we all know about how lousy Canada Post can be sometimes, but I guess this lousiness is even lower than Canada Post's bar for lousiness. I guess the CIC is mailing the package only on the day it starts processing the application. Then why say (lie!) that it has already sent the package on the very day it received the application and indirectly imply the mail delay is why you would not receive it for 2+ months? Quite baffling. Am I missing something here?CanuckForEver said:We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 7, 2013.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 7, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on May 2, 2013.
The issue is with e-CAS not being modifed for the new changes on the application processing (a.k.a Language + CBSA Consent). CIC sends the AOR package on the day it starts processing the application.CanuckForEver said:From my status update above, one thing is quite puzzling me.
