I have never heard any single case which has been refused on grounds of medicals.

Yes, there a number of people refused on medical, especially if they or there family have either a contagious disease (rare) more likely have a condition that will cause excessive demand.

An expenditure of more than 5 to 6 thousand CAD/person/year, but I am not sure of the exact amount.

This is not a contagious disease so I dont think there should be any problem.

It is a fact that there are several cases of rejection due to -ve medicals. But as kidney trouble is not going to be a threat to the citizens of Canada. So may not have problem during immigration...
