Application processed slower than others (coop permit)

Hi. I applied coop work permit online on January 21st, and I heard many of my school mates have already received their permit even though they applied later than mine (one of them applied on Feb 10th). My application status is still 'open'.

I thought for the same kind of permit the process might be somewhat first come first serve? So, I'm very worried about if there is any issue going on. Or if this is actually normal.

hey same here but I applied by paper so I am in deeper trouble than you as I don't even have any way of knowing what is happening I called CIC today but they will not accomodate because i am still inside processing time. With you current processing time is 77 days and you can call them by end of first week of April to know the status

Thanks. I'm still waiting. But where did you get the 77 days of processing time? I only saw a 3 months on the website for "work permit". Is the 77 days specifically for coop?
