Application ONLINE - Need to send ORIGINAL passport?

Hello everybody.

We submitted our application online via GCKEY. Now we got a "Original Passport Request".

First, I don´t understand why we have to send our passport again. We uploaded it once, when we submitted online.

Second, I would like to know if we really have to send our ORIGINAL passport to Austria. We live in Germany, so we can´t give our passport personally.

My question is, if a copy is enough? Or is it enough, when we send via Mail? We don´t want to send our origingal passport via post! :o :o

Please help, thank you!
 
Hi,

As you have applied online for TRVs, you must submit your passports within 30 days of receiving the passport request letter. The visa office requires your original passports to make a final decision.

You can submit your passports to the VAC (Visa Application Centre) in Dusseldorf along with the necessary fees + passport request letters + VFS consent forms.

You must NOT mail your passports directly to the visa office in Austria

1. what indian Rs. (INR) fees to pay ?
2. VFS consent forms. (what is this form?)
please any body reply
