Application not approved because it was incomplete.

Hi All,

I just received the message that my PR application (Express Entry route) has been cancelled, but there is no mention of which document was incomplete. In the messages section as well, there is nothing which tells me which document is not complete. Will I receive an email from CIC highlighting exactly which document was missing. What should I do now

You didn't get a letter from them? Check your spam maybe? Or it will show up in your account shortly.

Once you know why it was cancelled let us know and we'll help out.

If you got a PDF letter, you have to open it in Acrobat Reader, not your web browser, to see any customized content.

@FREHAN Did you get any update after that. I am in the same situation like yours. There is no reason as to why it has been cancelled.

Any help would be appreciated.

A cancelled application does not mean refused. This is what it says in the help (question mark) next to final decision.

If you see that your application was cancelled, it means that before we made a final decision, we:

• made a mistake and had to recreate your application
• found that you do not need the status/document you applied for.

If you think we should not have cancelled your application, let us know by using the IRCC web form.
