Hello. Has anyone have a similar situation that I have?

I am here in the US with an H1B visa. My AOR was dated Aug 11 2007. I just got a letter today stating that to further expedite my file, they transferred it to the Los Angeles consulate general office. I could not find any processing times anywhere for the LA office. What does this mean? Is this a good sign, bad sign or no sign at all.

Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Even I received a letter this month with the same message. I am not sure whether it is really going to expedite the process

i did a lot of research from different discussion boards and found out that it is a good sign meaning your papers are moving and is being processed.

also it's a good sign that, you're on to the next step which is medical.

fingers crossed :)

From what I see on the "Trackitt" website, it is a very good sign. You will either be scheduled for an interview, have your application refused or you will be asked to send your passport to the consulate for stamping. Barring anything in your past or present that would disqualify you for immigration to Canada, you are probably very close to getting your visa. I just read on the "Trackitt" website where a person received the request for his/her passport just 19 days after his application was sent to LA.

Best wishes!!
